Leaving Portland

Apparently walking around a big city with
a stuffed backpack means you are obviously
traveling! We've been asked where we're from several
times while waiting on the streets of Portland
for our rideshare and we are still in our
hometown! A pair of transients even directed us
to the nearest soup kitchen since not only do we
look like travelers but apparently we look hungry as well.
"thanks for the tip!" I said, while trying to
nonchalently stuff my 300 dollar camera back into my bag.

I can't wait for this kind of interest in our
travels and well-being when we are actually in a
new place!
