Today we are having some downtime. Tomorrow we fly out of Dublin at 6am and arrive in Italy at 10am. We walked around Dublin today, bought coffees and a paperback book for the plane ride tomorrow.
So far I wish I hadn't brought the sleeping bag and instead brought more dress clothes. The book of maps of Europe I bought before the trip is useless and I'm going to toss it. We should have bought more plane tickets in the winter as now most inter-Euro flights are getting expensive.
Definitely glad we didn't buy the Europass or anything like that though.
Our hostels have varied greatly from spacious and comfy to cramped and smelly. Being booked in a room with other Americans is really lame. We've met more than our share of rich, snobby college girls traveling for Spring Break. We've also met a lot of French, German and Australian travelers.
