A special night in Venice.....

Venice, Italy.... Wow. We love it here.... we've had an amazing time. But I think some of you might be interested in one particular moment right now....when Phil asked me to marry him last night!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, hints were dropped since before we even left the states that a certain question might come up on a certain gondola ride in a certain canal city in a certain boot shaped country. But you never know... are we ready, how can we, the quintessenital out of work cheapskates afford a ring, etc etc. But, alas, this trip has brought us closer together in all the right ways, and Phil, a Dumbledore man of mysteries, somehow produced a beautiful ring last night, in the most romantic place of romantic places.

We got to Venice from our hotel and sought out a gondola ride.... The 3/4 moon cast a beautiful glow over the water. The moment was right! On our half hour trip on the canals between buildings and under lil bridges, Phil got down one on one knee in the boat, produced a little red box from his pocket, opened it up (and there it was!), told me how much he loved me and ask me to marry him! "Yes!" Cue romantic music and kisses. We followed up the boat ride by sharing gelato and he even bought me a rose from one of the street sellers. Siighhhhhhhhh. Every girl's dream!

I suppose Venice will now always be super special to us. And how awesome it is to say that we got engaged on a gondola ride in Venice, Italy??? Also, he said he got the ring from shop in Florence, underneath the oldest functional bridge in Italy. So that makes Florence special too, yay! And I would love to have the wedding at the Duomo in Florence *daydreams* but yeah, probably not likely *sighh* In case anyone is wondering, we don't have any wedding planning done nor do we even know where we'd have it. One step at a time, gack! Anyway, we are having a great time, we are in love and engaged and being all super romantical. <3 Life
